U.S. citizens interested in joining the Foreign Service should check the State Department webpage or the Commerce Department. U.S. citizens wishing to apply for the positions advertised here must legally reside in Mexico. Locally resident American Citizens who are not Eligible Family Members must have the necessary work permits (FM-2 OR FM-3) and at least six months residency in Mexico.
